Collet Systems

Ryan has been in the manufacturing industry for fifteen years and joined ESPRIT in early 2020.  He has a strong background in programming and running multi-axis mill-turn, horizontal and 5-axis machines. In his free time, Ryan enjoys playing hockey, golf, and watching Formula 1 racing.

In this video Ryan will demonstrate how to change the standard work holding for main and sub spindles from chucks to collet chucks. The chuck on the main spindle will be replaced by a collet system by adding the solid models to the simulation parameters as fixtures. The sub spindle chuck will be replaced by adding new STL models to the machine setup.
