Employee Spotlight: Nick Zentil, Director of North American Sales

DP’s director of North American sales, Nick Zentil, joined us in 2017 after honing his skills at a metal fabrication company.
Nick started his professional career as a project manager, working his way through the ranks until he earned the title of vice president of sales and marketing. He even lived overseas, opening and operating a Chinese manufacturing facility for a few years before joining DP.
As the director of North American sales, Nick is constantly evaluating—and reevaluating—DP’s existing sales tools to improve efficiency and best meet the needs of our customers. The pride he takes in his work is evident in everything he does. In fact, when asked about his favorite work memory, Nick didn’t recall a particularly raucous office party or happy hour. Instead, he cited his first sale. “My favorite work memory was getting my first order from a customer who I went to visit. I got the inquiry, designed the equipment, and did the estimation and quotation all on my own.”
A native of Southern California, Nick’s most at home in the great outdoors. He’s been an avid surfer since his teen years, and on the weekends he’s in the water (or at least near it) camping, fishing, and surfing with his family. Nick loves to build, and his most recent undertaking was constructing a chicken coop for his backyard hens.
