Employee Spotlight: Josh Seale, Technical Writer

DP’s technical writer Josh Seale is the voice of ESPRIT in more than one way.
Although his primary job has him writing user-facing documentation for ESPRIT, Josh is also who you hear narrating ESPRIT product highlight videos.
Throughout his career, Josh has always had an affinity for learning about complex ideas. He spent 11 years immersed in the CNC world at Haas Automation before briefly dipping his toe in the mining industry, finally landing at DP in July 2018.
Josh loves the variety that his role provides. “I work with everybody—R&D, marketing, sales, even the C-suite from time to time. I like knowing that people trust me to communicate on their behalf.” He also touches an array of projects on any given day, keeping monotony at bay. “I may be writing help topics in the morning and then shifting gears to video production in the afternoon,” says Josh. “Projects can involve very technical language, or I may get to use a friendlier tone.”

Josh moved to California as a child and grew up just minutes away from DP’s headquarters in Camarillo. Outside of work, he’s a board game aficionado—he owns about 200 of them! He also loves cooking dishes from around the globe, reading, spending time in California’s great outdoors, and travel. Josh and his wife, Patricia, are proud “parents” of a cat, Lily, and dog, Knox Harrington, the Video Artist.
