Site Reliability Engineer

Camarillo, CA

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) focuses on improving the workflows surrounding the development cycles of our flagship product: the ESPRIT CAM software. They oversee, support, maintain, monitor and re-engineer part of the existing architecture. By strongly supporting automation and monitoring at all steps of software construction, they aim at improving the data flow between all the different steps of the DP development cycles, thus increasing the deployment frequency, with more dependable releases and in close alignment with business objectives. From the research phase to implementation, they are part of the decisional core of the IT department and have an impact on the business processes.

The Day-to-Day

  • Maintain and Improve the existing Agile product development structure and workflows including:
    • All tiers of support systems
    • Version Control Systems
    • Continuous Integration and Automated Testing
    • Application Life Cycle Management Tools
  • Take charge of the strategic deployment and integration of each solutions
  • Monitor the infrastructure
  • Be responsible for the systems availability, latency, performance and efficiency
  • Streamline workflows and automation to keep system performing and reliable
  • Apply Software Engineering mindset to System Administration
  • Configure and administrate the hardware infrastructure
  • Support and train the users on all platforms
  • Negotiate, manage and extend contracts with third part companies
  • Collaborate with international teams of software developers and product engineers worldwide
  • Work closely with the Research and Development department
  • Handle projects from beginning to the end
  • Report directly with the Director of Information Technology

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience as am System Engineer or SRE within a software company.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in related R&D tools such as:
    • Atlassian products (Git, …)
    • JetBrains products (YouTrack, TeamCity, …)
    • Team Foundation Server
  • Good experience with coding and scripting
  • Some experience with Windows servers and its administration tools
  • Ability to multi-task and eager to take on new challenges at the same time
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Demonstrated success working in a small, multi-national, innovative and creative team.
  • Computer Science degree


Up to 10% of work time on domestic and international travel

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear, both in person, by telephone and by web.
