Senior Software Engineer, Automation

Camarillo, CA

We are looking to hire a full-time Senior Software Engineer, Automation to join the Research and Development (R&D) team on our flagship product, ESPRIT CAM software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain automation framework, libraries, and internal tools for continuous integration, deployment, and testing
  • Serve as a technical lead on CI/CD and automation of software development processes in general
  • Research emerging tools, trends, methodologies in CI/CD and process automation; enhance the existing systems
  • Mentor junior automation engineers on coding standards and best practices through code reviews
  • Collaborate with software development teams and product engineers to understand the impediments
  • Be the technical voice of software process automation

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in computer science or an equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of coding experience in at least one of these languages: C++, C#, Java
  • 3+ years of experience in Python or any other scripting language developing automation tools
  • 8–10 years of experience working on software development teams leveraging continuous integration/deployment and automated testing
  • Demonstrated deployment experience with at least one of the following tools: TeamCity, Jenkins, Git
  • Knowledge of software design focused on testability, robustness, and performance
  • Passion for automation, quality, tools, and processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Authorized to work in USA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in development of framework to run unit, regression, or system tests
  • Experience in agile software development environment
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM
