Employee Spotlight: Douglas Fox, Product Engineer

After finishing college, Doug Fox joined the full-time workforce as an applications engineer at DP in 2017.
Just a few months after starting his new job, he attended ESPRIT World 2017, an event that tops his list of favorite work memories. “It was a wonderful experience,” he says. “Getting to know my fellow coworkers from different offices and meeting our top customers was very fulfilling.”
Doug eventually earned the title change to product engineer, a role that has him prepare, test, and validate DP’s main projects. He regularly engages with the applications group as well as customers, helping them transition between products and delivering their feedback to the rest of the research and development group. Doug also brainstorms and actively provides new perspectives among the rest of the product engineering team. He finds solving problems on behalf of our customers to be one of the most rewarding parts of his job.

Doug grew up in Ojai, a small town about 25 miles from DP’s Camarillo headquarters. In his free time, Doug is a man of varied interests—skiing, ultimate frisbee, backpacking, gaming, and golfing (he recently achieved a sub-10 handicap) keep him active, while travel and meeting new people expand his horizons.
